Hello, I'm Ty Chauvin.

My passion for photography really took off with my love for hockey. Growing up, the game was always a huge part of my life—whether I was playing, watching, or just soaking in the atmosphere. As I aged out of minor hockey, I felt like something was missing. That’s when I saw a volunteer photographer ad for the Carleton Place Canadians on Instagram. I submitted my portfolio, and I’ve been fortunate enough to work with the team ever since.

Alongside my sports work, I’ve always had a passion for cars. From Hot Wheels as a kid to the sharp lines of Formula One, I’ve been drawn to vehicles for as long as I can remember. I started taking photos at local car meets, and tcdoescars was born. It became a place to showcase the cars I was shooting, but as my photography grew, so did my interests. That’s when I rebranded to tc_captures to reflect my expanding focus on sports photography, especially hockey.

Now, hockey is my main passion, but I continue to experiment with car photography and other events. I’m always looking for new angles and fresh perspectives to make my work stand out, no matter what I’m shooting.
